Climatech: the importance of linking our purpose to a professional community with purpose

Since 2023, we have been an active part of Climatech, the climate technology association of Chile. By promoting the use of technologies that help mitigate the effects of the climate crisis, at Tierraverde we join a select network of Chilean companies seeking to generate a positive impact on the environment.

In today's times, forming a connection with people who share our business outlook and the dream of contributing to the planet's sustainability through innovative solutions is the beginning of a story where the possibilities are limitless.

Our collaboration with Climatech Chile began last year in search of companies and associations with the same mindset when addressing and confronting environmental issues affecting Chile, and the agricultural industry in particular. However, from the start, we found synergy, and things rapidly escalated thanks to the positive synergy among the people involved.

One of the latest significant events was our participation in the Agro-Regeneramaule Summit in May 2024, a conference that brought together leaders from the agricultural and technological industries. These events were perfect platforms to share our technologies and learn about innovations from other stakeholders in the Maule region. Moreover, they allowed us to strengthen our vision for more sustainable and efficient agriculture.

It was inspiring to see how our practices and technologies resonated with the New Zealand delegation. Sharing knowledge and experiences on an international level showed us that we are on the right path and that our solutions can have a global impact.

The Sense of Community

The collaboration with Climatech Chile involves much Innovation and Development, but also a learning community and constant mutual support. We were part of the Water Security Pact, which focused on efficient water management in our country, a vital resource for agriculture. This space allowed us to exchange ideas with other experts and seek joint solutions to the challenges of climate change.

Another highlighted event was our participation in TT Green Foods in Viña del Mar. This meeting focused on the transition towards a greener economy in the food sector. Here, we were able to showcase how our practices and technologies not only improve agricultural production but also contribute to environmental sustainability.

Breaking Boundaries

Recently, one of the most memorable moments of our collaboration was the visit of a delegation from the Centers of Asia Pacific Excellence (CAPE) program in New Zealand. This international exchange was a unique opportunity to share experiences on the ground and learn from a country facing the same climate challenges as Chile. The delegation was able to firsthand, in one of our projects, see how Chilean-made innovations and technologies make an impact.

On our side, it was inspiring to see how our practices and technologies resonated with the New Zealand delegation. Sharing knowledge and experiences on an international level showed us that we are on the right path and that our solutions can have a global impact.

The Present-Future

The alliance with Climatech Chile has reinforced our commitment to a different business model, combining clean technology innovation to combat the climate crisis. This collaboration has allowed us to learn from other national and international actors, improve our practices, and contribute to the industry from new dimensions.

Looking ahead, we understand that there is still much to do, as climate change and water scarcity present continuous challenges, but knowing strong communities like Climatech Chile, we feel more prepared and supported to face them with determination and enthusiasm.
