Agrícola Carolmo – BLUEBERRIES

In 2021, Agrícola Carolmo requested us to design and install a Frost Control System for a 5-hectare blueberry plantation, with a spacing of 3 meters between rows and 0.80 meters over the rows. The orchard is located in the Carolmo area, Quillota commune, Valparaíso Region.

We analyzed the technical characteristics of the installed irrigation system, the pressure levels (bars), water and energy sources, and based on that, we designed the appropriate configurations to obtain the required flow rates for this project. Finally, Rocío Plus® kits with self-compensating drippers of 15 liters/hour were successfully installed, resulting in a Frost Control precipitation with a total flow rate of 1.4 liters/second/hectare and 7 liters/second for the 5 hectares.

Throughout the entire installation process, our teams were on-site to support the client and ensure that the system operates as designed.
